Duties

• Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a smooth flow of service
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Lavu POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable, and relay orders efficiently to the kitchen
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
• Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Process cash and credit card transactions accurately, handling all sales transactions with integrity
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
• Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing questions about menu items, wine knowledge, or dietary needs with professionalism

Experience

• Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred; fine dining experience is a plus
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for processing orders and transactions
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to manage multiple tables efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine, cocktails, and drink presentation techniques
• Experience with food handling, sanitation practices, and basic math for accurate bill calculations
• Ability to demonstrate culinary knowledge and food industry standards for safety and quality assurance
• Excellent communication skills along with a friendly attitude that fosters guest satisfaction
