Summary
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Business Manager to lead our financial operations, ensuring sustainability and compliance within the nonprofit healthcare sector. This pivotal role is based in Marquette and offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our community.
Responsibilities
Oversee all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Lead the development of financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Supervise accounting functions such as accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and reconciliation.
- Prepare detailed financial reports for board, stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
- Maintain internal controls and financial policies.
- Partner with COO and CEO to align financial and care goals
- Support cost reporting, audits and compliance requirements
- Monitor Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement and facility billing.
- Monitor cash flow and optimize financial performance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (3 years minimum) as a Business or Finance Manager or similar financial leadership role, preferably within the nonprofit or healthcare sector.
- Strong knowledge of accounting practices and standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Ability to work independently in a mission-driven environment.
- Proficiency with Quickbooks and financial software and systems.
- Strong understanding of accrual-basis accounting, including revenue recognition, expense matching, and month-end close processes, is required.
- Ability to interpret complex financial data and present insights clearly.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 32 per week
