Student Assistant, Instructional Support - Respiratory Care

This entry-level position offers a unique opportunity for a current student to gain valuable work experience while contributing to the success of Lake Sumter State College. The Student Assistant will provide essential support, working closely with faculty and staff to ensure efficient operation or departmental activities.

This is a part-time position with an expected commitment not to exceed 25 hours per week. The schedule will be flexible to accommodate the student's academic and other responsibilities. Students cannot work during class meeting times. Responsible for demonstrating LSSC's values of Caring, Communicating, Collaborating, and Celebrating.

• Assists in supporting peers and community patrons in the recommended subject area(s) in online, face-to-face, and group settings.
• Continually improve subject area(s) knowledge and tutoring skills.
• Follows procedures and policies.
• Attend training sessions and complete professional development plan.
• Maintains work confidentiality.
• Assists students with the course's online learning system.
• Maintains cleanliness of the learning space.
• Assists instructors while they are proctoring tests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Strong Organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent Verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
