GENERAL SUMMARY:

To assist the Operations supervisor in maintaining and repairing all physical structures of all equipment including vehicles, tractors, mowers, backhoes etc. We also maintain and repair buildings and maintains grounds by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

* * * EXPERIENCE AND ABILITY TO DRIVE CDL LICENSE PREFERRED VEHICLES (DUMP TRUCKS / PLOW TRUCKS)

*** Candidates filling the basic requirements must have a strong MECHANIC EXPERIENCE background.

Receives written work orders or verbal instructions from supervisor.

Paints interior and exterior walls and trim.

Operates snow removal equipment to maintain roads and parking lots.

Maintains and repairs buildings' plumbing and electrical systems.

Capable of doing minor carpentry work and building repairs.

Maintains and repairs structures.

Familiar with all phases of maintenance operations

Assists other departments.

Licenses:

Class B CDL license with Air Brakes endorsement is a BONUS,

Ability to successfully test for the Illinois Department of Agriculture Pesticides Operator License.
