Duties
- Safely operate tow trucks, including flatbed and traditional tow trucks, to recover and transport vehicles from accident scenes or breakdowns
- Load and unload vehicles with precision using appropriate equipment
- Conduct basic automotive diagnostics and mechanical assessments to determine the best recovery approach
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients during roadside assistance or vehicle pickup
- Manage conflict situations professionally, ensuring safety for all parties involved
- Maintain accurate logs of all recoveries, loads, unloads, and vehicle details for record-keeping purposes
- Perform routine inspections to ensure tow truck readiness
Requirements
- No CDL required
- Ability to load, secure, and unload vehicles efficiently using flatbeds or other specialized equipment
- Hands-on experience with manual transmissions and automotive repair tools
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle conflict management professionally
- Prior mechanic experience or familiarity with automotive systems such as brakes, engines, and electrical components is highly desirable
