Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) CMA

The Workforce Wellness Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or CMA will help ensure the health of employees through the management of employee injury and illness follow-up and reporting, staff education, personal protective equipment, and immunization programs.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Advise and research current best practices for employee health policy and procedures.
• Manage employee injury internal investigation and reporting process; regularly communicate with workers’ compensation carrier and evaluate accommodations and return-to-work options for employees with restricted duties. Collaborate with Human Resources regarding these issues and other non-work-related medical restrictions and employee health-related concerns.
• Collaborate with practitioners on new hire screenings with identifiable limitations and/or health risks; make employee referrals for those with limitations and risks to appropriate resources; ensure appropriate vaccinations given and documented.
• Investigate, follow-up, consult and problem solves with employees regarding workplace safety questions or concerns.
• Track, trend, and report data regarding needle sticks and exposures.
• Trend employee illnesses/injuries to identify safety and health issues. Collect and report data for employee health topics, such as lifting practices.  Assist employees with ergonomic needs.
• Plan, implement and conduct annual flu vaccine programs.
• Collaborate with Human Resources and other leaders as situations require.
• Attend employee safety meetings, provide employee safety education, and participate in Workforce Wellness events.
• Performs other duties as needed or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Missouri RN Licensure, LPN or CMA
• BLS Certification
• Experience in Meditech and Microsoft Excel
• Combination of 3 to 4 years of workers’ compensation case management and employee health experience is helpful
• Annual influenza vaccine required
