Radiation Oncology Nurse (RN)

Key Job Responsibilities:

• The position is for a Radiation Oncolgy Nurse. 
• The ideal candidate will have an interest in the administration of chemotherapy, biotherapy, and immune therapies for hematology and oncology patients. 
• Duties and responsibilities include patient assessment, symptoms management, infusion skills for varied types of infusions, patient care coordination with the hematology/oncology clinic as well as other mechanisms of care as necessary to meet patient needs.  Cross-training in other areas of the Cancer Center can be expected. 
• Representation at various events in the community may be necessary to represent our program and our services. 
• Candidates must be willing to pursue OCN certification within two years of hire.  

  
Qualifications:

• RN with a minimum of 3 years Medical-Surgical experience. 
• Oncology experience preferred. 
• Must excel in the area of customer service. 
• The ideal candidate will be patient-centered, friendly, positive, flexible, organized, and able to prioritize and function in a fast-paced environment with minimal stress and be teamwork-oriented. 
• An annual influenza vaccine is required.
