What are the responsibilities and job description for the Central Enrollment Office Manager position at Lake Orion Community Schools?
Start Date: As soon as possible
Schedule: 12 month position, Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Job Duties:
- Answer phones for Central Enrollment office as a first contact to the district.
- File and scan to maintain enrollment documents.
- Manage and process district enrollments (including Special Education/Early Childhood), data entry of enrollments, share enrollment information with district and deparments as needed.
- Meet with parents for enrollment, monitor and schedul appointments.
- Review residency issues and consult with Pupil Accounting Specialist.
- Assist with Schools of Choice enrollments, tracking and record requests.
- Assist with McKinney-Vento and Foster needs as directed by Liaison, including data entry, contact information, and manage inventory supplies.
- Coordinate immunization requirements with building secretaries, including enrollment requirements, reporting, and and coordinate staff training.
- Cover office when Pupil Accounting Specialist is out of the office.
- Monitor Central Enrollment web pages and update as needed.
- Manage office supplies as needed.
- Assist Pupil Accounting Specialist with other responsibilities as directed.
Qualifications:
- High School Education or greater; desired post-high school course work in business or secretarial
- Must be adept at general office procedures, such as, but not limited to: alphabetizing and filing; phone etiquette; operation of business machines; maintenance of student records; process incoming and outgoing mail.)
- Must demonstrate the ability to work positively with others
- Must be able to maintain a professional office atmosphere, i.e., adept at: interpersonal skills; master of spoken and written English; working cooperatively with students, staff and public; listening to and answering questions pertaining to the school system in general and the position site in specific.
- Must possess personal qualities, such as, but not limited to: ability to work under stress to meet required time line; ability to maintain composure in stressful/emergency situations; pride in quality of one’s personal and business manner and work; pride in personal grooming; good attendance pleasing personality; willingness to learn and accept constructive criticism; ability to handle multiple task and interruptions; ability to carry out assignments with limited supervision; personal initiative/motivation or organization
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel required, and Adobe preferred
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
