Housekeeping Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Housekeeping Manager to lead our cleaning and custodial teams in delivering exceptional cleanliness and hospitality standards. As a working manager, you will oversee daily housekeeping operations, ensure the highest levels of service and cleanliness, and foster a positive environment that promotes teamwork and efficiency.
Key responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate all housekeeping activities, including cleaning, floor care, and janitorial tasks across the property
Develop and implement cleaning schedules, standards, and procedures to ensure consistent quality and safety compliance
Train, motivate, and evaluate housekeeping staff to maintain high performance levels and professional growth
Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to uphold cleanliness standards
Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment maintenance, and procurement to optimize resources
Collaborate with other departments to address special requests or urgent cleaning needs promptly
Ensure adherence to health regulations, safety protocols, and industry best practices in all custodial operations
Qualifications:
Education and experience:
Proven experience in hotel or hospitality housekeeping management with a strong background in cleaning techniques and floor care
Extensive janitorial or custodial experience with knowledge of industrial cleaning methods
Familiarity with hospitality industry standards and customer service excellence
Strong leadership skills with the ability to train teams effectively and foster a collaborative work environment
Knowledge of cleaning equipment maintenance, safety procedures, and sanitation protocols
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
Certifications related to industrial cleaning or hospitality management are a plus
