LMGC Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Location: Sparta, NJ – Sussex County
Course: Private, 18-Hole, Member-Owned
Lake Mohawk Golf Club is seeking a full-time, year-round Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to join our dedicated, high-performing team beginning March 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated turf professional to grow under the guidance of our current Superintendent and take a leadership role in their absence.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in daily planning and execution of all golf course maintenance activities
- Supervise and lead staff in the Superintendent’s absence
- Monitor and adjust irrigation systems as needed
- Apply and document fertilizer and pesticide programs in accordance with regulatory standards
- Operate and maintain a variety of turf equipment
- Help manage course conditioning based on seasonal needs and weather conditions
- Contribute to staff training, safety, and scheduling
- Assist with budgeting, purchasing, and inventory control
- Support environmental stewardship and sustainable practices
Qualifications:
- Previous golf course maintenance experience preferred but not required
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Compensation & Benefits:
