About this position: The Application Security Engineer role is responsible for identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities and validating that application services are designed and implemented with high security standards. This role conducts comprehensive security assessments of software applications, including static and dynamic code analysis, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing. They will also complete security assessments and collaborate with application development and project management teams to ensure security best practices are integrated. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential and collaboration with other business units will be the key to success in this position. This role ensures Information Security requirements are understood and adopted across the organization to protect our members’ data. What you’ll do: Partner with senior team members and management to assist in identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities in applications. Conduct security assessments and code reviews. Partner with System Engineers, Application Development teams, and Architects to complete IT Security initiatives and implement best practices. Implement repeatable secure development practices. Monitor and respond to security incidents. Participate in security training and awareness programs. Implements security and infrastructure related projects with the assistance of management or Sr. Security Analyst team members. On-call for any security outage. Configures and manages security monitoring tools. What you’ll bring: 1-2 years implementing and troubleshooting F5 BIG-IP solutions (APM, ASM) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field Experience with firewalls, VPN, SSL remote access, and LAN/WLAN configuration, enterprise network analysis, configuration, and maintenance Knowledge of malware, emerging threats, and vulnerability management Strong collaboration and vendor support management skills Programming proficiency (Java, C#, Python, JavaScript) with secure coding practices and vulnerability prevention Security frameworks and tools expertise including OWASP, NIST CSF, SAST/DAST, vulnerability scanners, and penetration testing Cloud security architecture and DevSecOps practices across multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) with risk assessment and incident response capabilities What you’ll get: All Employees: weekly pay and retirement savings options.
