Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and reliable boat and trailer transporter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the marina parking lot, assisting boaters with parking and docking logistics, and providing exceptional customer service. This role is crucial in ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all marina visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
· Test drive \ launch boats, drive the boat to a slip, properly tie up and cover the boat.
· Retrieve boats to be worked on by the service department and deliver them to the service bays.
· Retrieve boats from the storage yard and deliver them to the marina to be worked on.
· Deliver storage trailers to the storage yard.
· Park boats on trailers when customers drop them off.
- Greet and assist boaters with parking and directions within the marina.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the parking lot and dock areas, including trash removal and sweeping.
- Monitor parking lot and dock areas for any unauthorized vehicles or activities.
- Provide information and assistance to customers regarding amenities.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management.
- Ensure compliance with marina parking and docking policies and procedures.
- Cut the grass using equipment provided.
- Assist with boat launching and retrieval as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a marina or boating environment preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift and carry heavy items.
- Valid driver's license.
- Availability to work weekends, and flexible hours as needed.
- Basic knowledge of boating and marina operations is a plus.
