What are the responsibilities and job description for the Banquets staff position at LAKE HICKORY COUNTRY CLUB?
Banquet Server – Provide food and beverage service to Club members and guests
- Help set up room for event – Includes setting tables with clean linen, silverware, and glassware.
- Attend pre and post banquet meetings for special instructions as requested by Supervisor
- Provide immediate attention to all members and guests upon seating
- Fill glasses with ice water and replenishes through the course of the meal
- Take beverage orders
- Answer menu questions and take food orders if applicable
- Turn orders into kitchen and communicates with cooks about any special cooking instructions
- Serve and comply with all required alcohol service policies and standards
- Keep ice bins and buckets filled
- Assemble food on tray; procure items from each station as necessary
- Carry food trays to table
- Serve meal; place dishes by courses in front of each person; serve from left of the person
- Check back after a short period to ensure member/guest satisfaction
- Remove soiled dishes from table, neatly stack on trays and take to dish washing area
- Serve dessert, coffee, and after dinner drinks if applicable
- Keep tables, dining room and bus stations clean and tidy
- Advise supervisor of any complaints as soon as they occur
- Perform clean-up and closing duties as assigned by manager
