What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Worker - 1st Shift position at Lake Erie Frozen Foods Co.?
We are a growing, family-owned Ashland area food manufacturer. We are currently running food production on first and third shifts, with sanitation on second shift. First shift production is from 7 am to 4:30 pm (end time varies on position). Third shift production is from 11pm to 7am. We are seeking an individual with little to no experience to be a part of our team. Candidates should be willing to learn various production tasks. Applicants must be prepared to stand for the majority of their shifts. Being that we are a food manufacturer, candidates should be aware that dress regulations are strictly enforced. Facial piercings are prohibited in addition to wearing the proper PPE. Applicants should be able to work as a team member but also possess the desire to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Follow safety protocols and regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Operate machinery and tools in a safe manner.
- Inspect product to ensure quality is sufficient to company standards.
- Properly place raw materials on conveyors.
- Listen and observe the operation and conditions of your line.
- Notify any equipment issues or product contamination.
- Use of proper PPE for all tasks is required.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and managers.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to be on feet for periods of up to 3 hours between breaks.
- Have visual acuity sufficient to identify defects & non-conformity in the product.
- Have dexterity in hands sufficient enough to remove defects & space product.

Pay: $16.22 - $17.17 per hour
