What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Assistant - Midlakes Health Center position at Lake County?
Scheduled Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Performs general office tasks. Conducts inventory management and coordination for STI Program supplies to
include communication of supply delivery to outside locations.Participates in staff meetings, in-service trainings, and seminars, as assigned. Maintains main office functions, ensuring inventory and stocking of supplies,
including, but not limited to, harm reduction and testing supplies.Elicits and records information about clients following established protocols. Displays a positive, respectful and professional attitude and behavior toward
management, co-workers and clients in accomplishment of job duties.Performs data entry daily on various software programs. Completes reports and
documentation, as required.Schedules appointments and makes phones calls to follow up with clients who
have missed scheduled appointments or need care/treatment.Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills with staff and the public in a variety of
settings.Performs job duties in a professional manner to maximize the level of
client carePerforms other duties as assigned
Requires a High School diploma or GED certificate. Successful completion of an accredited Dental Assisting program. Preferred Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or at least 1-year experience in a general practice. Must have Coronal Polishing and Dental Sealant Certifications or take and pass this requirement within 6 months of hire.
