What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kitchen Assistant position at Lake City Center?
We are seeking a reliable, team-oriented Kitchen Assistant to support our Meals on Wheels, in-house meal programs, and some catering. This position plays an important role in helping prepare nutritious meals for seniors and community members.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The Kitchen Assistant will assist with meal preparation, food assembly, and basic kitchen tasks. They will help follow and learn menu planning, work closely with cooks and other kitchen staff, and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment. This role requires strong teamwork, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 1:30 PM

Requirements:
Food handler or food safety certification is preferred but not required. We are willing to help the right candidate obtain certification.
