Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position located in Chelan, WA. The Elementary Music Teacher will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging music lessons to elementary school students, fostering musical skills, knowledge, and creativity. Duties include teaching music theory, facilitating vocal music performances, and providing instruction in a variety of musical concepts and instruments, such as recorder. The teacher will collaborate with staff, prepare students for performances, and create a supportive, inclusive classroom environment to inspire a love of music.
Qualifications
- Knowledge and expertise in Music Theory and Music Education
- Proficiency in Music Performance, including both vocal and instrumental
- Experience and passion for teaching music to elementary-aged students
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create an inclusive learning environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or a related field; teaching certification is required
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues and engage with the school community
- Experience with concert planning and leading student performances is a plus
