Paramedic

Paramedics are part of a multidisciplinary medical team providing basic and advanced life support, for emergencies and non-emergent needs, provides quality assurance and supervision of EMT-IV/AWY, EMT-IV, EMT Basic, EMR, and First Aid personnel. Paramedics report to the Director of Paramedics or his/her designee and focus their work towards the achievement of the EMS department mission.

Qualifications

• Maintains current certifications to the levels of Washington State Paramedic.
  
• Obtains and maintains a current Advanced Cardiac Life Support provider (ACLS) certification.
  
• Obtains and maintains a current Healthcare Provider (HCP) certification.
  
• Obtains and maintains a current Pediatric Advanced Life Support provider (PALS) certification.
  
• Obtains and maintains a current Neonatal Resuscitation provider (NRP) certification within 12
  months of hire.
  
• Obtains and maintains Community Healthcare Worker (CHW) certification within 12 months of hire.
  
• Obtains NIMS 100,200,700,800 within 12 months of hire.
  
• Maintains valid Washington State Driver’s License.
  
• Maintains Emergency Vehicle Operations training.
  
• Maintains physical agility standards in accordance with policy.
• Preferred but not required additional certifications
