Lake Chelan Health seeks an Emergency Department (ED) Medical Director. The ED Medical Director is a board-certified physician responsible for leading clinical operations, ensuring high-quality patient care, and managing staff within the emergency department. The Administrative component of this job is 0.2 FTE, with the remainder of duties being clinical, covering shifts in the emergency room. Key duties include developing clinical protocols, improving patient flow and satisfaction, overseeing regulatory compliance, and liaising with nursing, chief medical officer, and hospital administration.?
Lake Chelan Health is an independent Washington Public Hospital District located in beautiful Lake Chelan. The Hospital consists of a 9 bed ED, 12 inpatient beds staffed by physician hospitalists, and a labor and a delivery team. General surgery on call coverage 24/7, part time orthopedic services, and telehealth specialties including cardiology, infectious diseases, pulmonology/critical care, and nephrology.
Outpatient services include primary care, Cardiology, ENT, dermatology, orthopedics, general surgery, and pediatrics. Competitive pay and benefits and signing/relocation bonus.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of medicine with residency training.
- Certification: Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or ABOEM) preferred but not required.
- Experience: 5 years of practice experience, including 3 years in a leadership role preferred.
- Licensure: Active Washington State medical license and DEA registration.
- Skills: Exceptional communication, leadership, conflict resolution, and administrative abilities.
