What are the responsibilities and job description for the Volunteer Nurse (RN, LPN) position at Lake Area Free Clinic?
Make a difference - one patient at a time.
The Lake Area Free Clinic provides free medical and reduced fee dental services to the uninsured residents of Waukesha County. We are an independent 501(c)(3) organization providing medical care, labs, imaging, medication, transportation services, a referral network of specialists and insurance enrollment assistance, all at no cost.
We provide these services free of charge through the generosity of our many amazing volunteers. We service all of Waukesha County, plus the Oconomowoc Area School District.
,
Since the doors opened in July, 2001, the Lake Area Free Clinic has welcomed individuals and families who lack health insurance and whose income is below 250% of the federal poverty level. Many of these individuals work full-time, but are either not offered health insurance, or cannot afford the premiums.
We are looking for Volunteer Nurses that want to have an impact on the health of the community. We are a small non-profit with over 200 volunteers that provide medical care, advice and support to our patients. Volunteer Nurses must have a current LPN or RN license in Wisconsin. Most volunteers are here 1 to 2 times a month for a total of 4 to 8 hours.
