Responsibilities
- Oversee kitting, staging, and material flow based on work orders and schedules
- Ensure parts are accurate, complete, and ready for production
- Track material movement and address shortages or quality issues
- Lead daily work, assign tasks, and balance team workload
- Run huddles, share priorities/updates, and act as point of contact when supervisor is out
- Coach and train team members; support onboarding of new hires
- Give feedback, recognize good performance, and suggest process improvements
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and clear communication
- Ensure safe work practices, proper equipment use, and clean, organized areas (5S)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of experience in manufacturing, materials handling, or production support
- Demonstrated leadership or team lead experience
- Ability to read work orders, BOMs, and part numbers
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and delegate in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills
- Must be able to perform the essential job requirements identified in the Functional Job Description for this position, including the ability to lift 50 pound
- Experience in a production-floor environment
- ERP/MRP system experience (e.g., Infor XA, Paperless, EPDM)
- Forklift/material handling certification
