Job Description
The Clinical Care Specialist will provide primary skin care to residents in accordance with their care plan, adhering to federal, state, and local standards. This role requires treating each resident with kindness, dignity, and respect, maintaining a positive and calm disposition when interacting with residents, families, and visitors.
Responsibilities:
- Consult with the Care Planning Team regarding assessment evaluations
- Ensure nursing care is provided in privacy, following facility policies
- Check vital signs, dress wounds, make rounds with physicians when requested
- Listen to residents and their families, address questions/concerns
- Document progress notes accurately and detail
- Abid by facility policies and procedures, including not disclosing user ID codes and passwords
- Follow Infection and Control policies, proper hand washing protocols
- Report occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, or other hazardous materials immediately
- Attend annual facility in-service training programs, meetings, and serve on committees when required
Requirements:
- RN Nursing Degree or LVN from accredited school or college
- Valid RN or LVN license in good standing
- Valid CPR and BLS card
- Minimum of 6 months skilled nursing experience preferred
- Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English language
- Use computer or tablet to enter resident data
