What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pool Attendant position at LAGUNA BEACH GOLF & BUNGALOW VILLAGE LLC?
POSITION OVERVIEW
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pool area, ensuring chairs, tables, and pools are prepared and fully stocked with towels prior to opening and consistently throughout the day to support exceptional guest satisfaction.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Greet all guests and offer towels along with food and drink menus.
• Assist server and bartender with food orders.
• Pick up food from kitchen and deliver to guests in a friendly and professional manner according to FORBES and Ranch LB standards.
• Clear food and beverage dishes as needed and at the completion of their meal.
• Set up and break down pool chairs and umbrellas.
• Constant walk-through of pool area to make certain it is clean (no trash on the grounds) and tidy.
• Fold and restock towels and remove dirty towels from towel bins.
• Take out trash as needed.
• Ensure all pool chairs are in a clean and orderly fashion.
• Have complete knowledge of items sold at the pool bar and their prices.
• Inspect entire pool area replacing any missing items and/or repairing (when possible) any items needing attention. (i.e. umbrellas, chairs, menus).
• Ensure pool area is occupied by resort guests only.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS
In addition, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based upon the requirements of The Ranch:
• Adhere to and enforce ALL Pool Safety Rules.
• Perform exceptional communication skills throughout all functions of the job (i.e. guests, department managers and fellow team members).
• Make guests requests your top priority.
• Adhere to The Ranch safety standards.
• Perform other duties and handle projects as assigned by Managers and Supervisors.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION
Education and Licensing:
• High school or equivalent education required. CPR Certification preferred.
Skills and Experience:
• Customer Service experience and previous Hospitality experience preferred.
Grooming
• All team members must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per The Ranch standards.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Most work tasks are performed outdoors. Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions including extreme cold and heat, wind and rain, etc.
• Position requires walking; must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 6 hours in length. Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task.
• Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach different locations and other departments of The Ranch on a timely basis.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill cleaning and stocking tasks.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. On a regular and continuing basis.
• Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
• Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other team members.
• Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
• Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
• Must have finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment such as computers, printers, 10-key adding machine, electric typewriter, multi-line touch tone phone, filing cabinets, FAX machines, photocopiers, dolly and other office equipment as needed.
Other:
Regular attendance is essential to the successful performance of this position. Irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Due to the fluctuation in business levels in the hospitality industry, team members may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of The Ranch. In addition, attendance is required at all scheduled training sessions and meetings.
Upon employment, all team members are required to fully comply with company rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of The Ranch’s facilities. Team members who violate The Ranch rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
