What are the responsibilities and job description for the Harvest Restaurant Host position at LAGUNA BEACH GOLF & BUNGALOW VILLAGE LLC?
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Greet guests in a professional manner using guests name upon arrival and departure.
• Control the flow of work in the room by seating guests in a rotation of stations, while maintaining accurate guest lists and adhering to and enforcing all restaurant standards.
• Inform guests of daily activities and be able to “sell” The Ranch. Meet all phone etiquette standards.
• Assign opening and/or closing servers' dining sections via iPad.
• Review dining sections for open tables to ensure completed lists of setups of all stations.
• Handle the reservation system, take incoming telephone calls, and note reservations and special requests by guests.
• Review Open Table system to ensure reservations are not overbooked. Email and call guests to confirm reservations.
• Engage with guests using FORBES and the Ranch at Laguna Beach standards to ensure a positive experience.
• Communicate with Servers and restaurant staff regarding special occasion guests coming in.

Supportive Functions
In addition, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based upon the requirements of The Ranch at Laguna Beach.
• Perform general clerical tasks, including maintaining reservation books and reviewing daily arrivals and VIP guests.
• Assist in table setting and general dining room maintenance during peak periods.
• Perform other duties as requested, such as executing special guest requests.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION
Education and Licensing:
• High school or equivalent education required.
Skills and Experience:
• Minimum of one year experience in public contact or customer service position required. Preferred restaurant/hospitality experience.
Grooming:
• All team members must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance per The Ranch standards.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

OTHER
Regular attendance is essential to the successful performance of this position. Irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Due to the fluctuation in business levels in the hospitality industry, team members may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of The Ranch. In addition, attendance is required at all scheduled training sessions and meetings.
Upon employment, all team members are required to fully comply with company rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of The Ranch’s facilities. Team members who violate The Ranch rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
