Lagniappe Homecare is hiring for a part-time, day shift, Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in Natchitoches and Winnfield. We offer competitive per visit rate.
Schedule is Monday to Friday.
Job Description:
To maintain positive levels of interaction with clients in their place of residence and implement a therapeutic program under the direction of a licensed or registered Occupational Therapist.
Responsibilities:
Develop independence in activities of daily living through observation, safety support, education, problem solving, activity modification, interaction with caregivers.
Implement plan of care established by the Occupational Therapist and collaborate with OT on goals and objectives.
Patient lifting using appropriate biomechanical techniques frequently throughout the course of a work day/shift.
Travel between patients’ places of residence during scheduled hours by operation of motorized vehicle.
Communicate and monitor patient needs and maintain accurate records through documentation.
