Summary
We are seeking a part-time Food Specialist at Lafayette House in the US to join our team. The schedule for this position is Friday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
This role is vital in ensuring the nutritional needs of our clients are met with care and professionalism, contributing to their overall well-being and recovery process.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals tailored to the dietary needs of clients.
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment adhering to health regulations.
- Collaborate with staff to regarding dietary accommodations, special needs, and meal service coordination.
- Ensure all food handling practices meet safety standards.
- Support the overall nutritional program aligned with our mission of healing and empowerment.
- Proven experience in food service or nutrition-related roles.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Creates a welcoming dining environment that supports client dignity, recovery, and community connection.
- Performs other duties deemed appropriate and assigned by the Director of Food Services.
