Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Property Manager to oversee the daily operations and maintenance of commercial or residential facilities. This role involves managing maintenance teams, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining the overall functionality and safety of the property. Duties
- Supervise and manage facilities maintenance teams, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and safely
- Conduct all business in accordance with Lafayette Council on Aging policies and procedures, Fair Housing, American with Disabilities Act and all other federal and state laws
- Responsible for maintaining a leasing rate of 98% or greater
- Completing lease paperwork; processing changes, verifying income/expenses/deductions, and notifying residents of changes in rent or unit eligibility
- The property manager will perform all accounting duties; account payables, account receivables, financial reports, and ensure that all rents are collected, posted, and deposited on a daily basis
- Conducting move-in/move-out/annual inspections; physically walk and inspect community on regular basis, check on vacant apartments
- Resolve resident conflict in an effective, professional, and timely manner
- Assisting with emergency calls on the property after hours as needed
Skills
- Proven management experience in facilities or maintenance management roles with supervisory responsibilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting, documentation, and communication purposes
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams while maintaining high standards of safety and quality
- Effective communication skills for clear reporting and team coordination
