Lafayette College seeks a positive and proactive professional interested in partnering with a dedicated and collaborative Alumni Engagement & Annual Giving team. This role requires considerable experience with Microsoft Office suite and specifically the ability to create, edit, sort, and navigate Word and Excel documents proficiently. Refined organizational skills are essential to the Development Technology Specialist position as this person must handle and prioritize multiple tasks and requests for information simultaneously. The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to learn quickly and work independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
This is a full-time, Union position.
- Create, prepare and distribute reports and lists using departmental constituent relationship management system as well as Microsoft Excel and Word.
- In partnership with the Annual and Leadership Giving team, prepare and coordinate email, phone, and direct mail solicitation materials, including generating invitation and mailing lists and segmentation of materials.
- Perform data entry of volunteer and donor information.
- Execute event data entry and communications using departmental engagement and communications software.
- Communicate with print and mail vendors to successfully deliver projects.
- Provide essential support to Alumni Engagement & Annual Giving operations through the management of phone calls and emails,
- Produce general correspondence, reports, and documents.
- Maintain electronic and paper filing systems.
- Record and distribute minutes for specific meetings.
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
- Comfort with data management.
- Ability and interest in learning new systems and processes.
- Microsoft Office Suite: high-level experience in Word and Excel.
- Strong organizational, communications (written and oral), and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in an office environment, demonstrating a high standard of excellence, accuracy, and consistency. Attention to detail and accuracy are a must.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently and professionally with minimal supervision.
- Management of time and projects efficiently.
- Positive attitude, excellent phone skills, and ability to provide outstanding customer service to external constituents.
- Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with email marketing tools.
- Experience with Google suite, including the ability to share documents and sheets.
- Knowledge of constituent relationship management systems.
- Experience in education or non-profit organization.
