Position: Senior High Math Teacher

Central Catholic Jr/Sr. High School:
Central Catholic Jr./Sr. High School, established in 1957, is a Roman Catholic Jr./Sr. High school, grades 7-12 serving the Diocese of Lafayette in Indiana. Central Catholic is an A-rated school by the Indiana Department of Education and has over 450 students. Central Catholic graduates 100% of its students and has over 90% move on to college.
Central Catholic is part of the Lafayette Catholic School System (LCSS). LCSS is a five-campus, pre-K through 12 system that provides a Christ-centered education to students in the Tippecanoe County, Indiana area. More than 1000 students are enrolled systemwide. The 5 schools that are part of LCSS are St. Francis Early Learning Academy (Preschool), St. Mary Cathedral (K - 3), St. Boniface (4 - 6), St. Lawrence (K - 6), and Central Catholic Jr. / Sr. High School (7 - 12).

Primary Purpose:
Under the general supervision of the School Principal, a successful candidate will be able to develop students' skills and competence in basic and complex mathematical principles, equations, formulas, and calculations, as well as an understanding of the application of mathematics to the solution of practical problems.
This position may also include an athletic coaching position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
- Indiana teaching license to teach the subject or grade for which he/she is applying.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
Special Knowledge/Skills/Attributes:
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of a wide range of mathematical subject areas, including trigonometry, pre-calculus, statistics, algebra and geometry.
- Understands appropriate use of Learning Management Systems (Schoology, Powerschool, Canvas, Blackboard, Angel, Moodle, etc).
Skills:
- Strong written and oral communication abilities.
- Ability to organize and coordinate work.
- Ability to build parent and student relationships.
- Ability to collaborate inside and outside of the department.

Experience:
Previous junior high/senior high school teaching experience preferred.
