About the OpportunityLafayette Catholic School System (LCSS) is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Part-Time Marketing Communications Project Specialist to join our Advancement Team on a critical, project-based contract. This is a unique opportunity to make an immediate, high-impact contribution by executing strategic digital, branding, and capital campaign initiatives that are vital to our school system's growth.
You will report directly to the Director of Marketing & Communications, Jennifer Haan, collaborating closely with the Advancement Team to drive enrollment and support our major capital campaign.
This role is specifically designed to manage and execute four key strategic projects from start to finish:
AI Chat Widget Development & Implementation:
- Goal: Increase lead capture and improve the user experience by providing immediate, 24/7 self-service information.
- Scope: Researching the platform, developing the knowledge base, designing the UI/UX, creating a lead capture/escalation pathway, and monitoring initial performance.
Website Digital Optimization Audit:
- Goal: Ensure LCSS.org and giving.lcss.org are modern, fast, and highly visible to prospective families and donors.
- Scope: Conducting a comprehensive SEO review (keywords, metadata), a technical performance audit (page speed, image optimization), a content consistency review, and providing a prioritized list of optimizations.
Branding Guide Finalization & Dissemination:
- Goal: Complete and socialize the LCSS branding guide to ensure consistent and professional internal and external communications.
- Scope: Finalizing remaining elements (voice/tone, photography styles), converting the document into an accessible digital format, and drafting a staff roll-out/dissemination plan.
Capital Campaign "Case for Support" Draft:
- Goal: Create a compelling, persuasive document to articulate the vision, need, and impact of the capital campaign (related to Central Catholic expansion) to secure major gifts.
- Scope: Gathering existing data/narratives, drafting core sections (Vision, Need, Impact, Financial Goal), and producing a draft ready for professional design.
- Duration: January 2026 – June 12, 2026
- Schedule: Approximately 12 – 20 hours per week. Hours must be logged via the Paylocity payroll system and managed effectively to meet project milestones.
- Compensation: $24.00 per hour, paid bi-weekly.
- Work Location: Hybrid/Project-Based. Over 90% of work is expected to be remote.
- Reporting: Reports to Jennifer Haan, Marketing & Communications Director. Regular Google Meet check-ins will be scheduled with the Director and the VP of Advancement.
- Availability & Communication: Maintain clear and timely communication with the Director on all project statuses.
- Time Management: Effectively manage weekly hours to ensure project deadlines are met.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfort and proficiency with remote tools (e.g., Google Meet, Paylocity, and project-specific platforms).
- Information Security: Commitment to ensuring the security and confidentiality of all organizational data and materials.
The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter with a proven track record of managing and executing complex marketing and communications projects. You thrive in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment and possess skills across digital marketing, content strategy, and brand development. Experience in non-profit, education, or capital campaign support is a significant plus.
