What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Assistant position at Ladybug Kids Dental?
Welcome to Ladybug Kids Dental & Orthodontics! We are an established modern state-of-the-art children’s dental office in Norwalk seeking a full-time dental assistant who loves working with children!
Schedule is weekdays 7:50am-5pm, and rotating Saturdays from 7:50am-2pm.
We are hoping to find and keep staff members who work well as a team and become like family. For the right applicant, we would like to build a long-term relationship, with mentorship, training, and career advancement within the company.
Requirements/Duties:
- Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays)
- Chart for the doctor during examination and explain treatment to parents/patients.
- Schedule follow-up appointments and complete electronic patient notes.
- Safely remove instruments and wipe down treatment rooms, run suction cleaner to clean the lines.
- Sterilize and bag instruments.
- Escort patients to exam and treatment rooms, showing care and confidence to help relieve patient’s anxiety and make parents feel comfortable.
- Check patient’s medical history
- Bilingual (Spanish, English)
Additional Duties
- Set up treatment rooms for procedures, ensuring that treatment rooms are always stocked.
- Assist dentist during a variety of treatment procedures including pulpotomy, SSC, fillings, extractions and space maintainers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced office
- RDA license is a plus
- We use Dentrix Ascend
