Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform veterinary examinations, diagnostics, and treatment of animals as required by CBP
- Support inspection, handling, and disposition of animals and animal products encountered during CBP operations
- Provide professional veterinary guidance related to animal health, disease prevention, and biosecurity
- Prepare and maintain accurate medical records, reports, and documentation in accordance with CBP requirements
- Coordinate with CBP personnel, agriculture specialists, and other government representatives as directed
- Comply with all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and professional veterinary standards
- Respond to services as ordered under individual delivery/task orders issued during the contract period
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) from an accredited institution
- Active, unrestricted license to practice veterinary medicine in the United States
- Knowledge of animal health, zoonotic diseases, and veterinary public health practices
- Ability to work in an operational airport and law-enforcement environment
- Experience supporting government, agriculture, or port-of-entry operations
- Familiarity with federal animal health and import/export regulations
