CNC Technician & Fabricator (Freelance / Single Ongoing Project)
Seeking a skilled, hands-on CNC Technician and Metal Fabricator for an ongoing site development of a unique project, involving yard art and directional signage and more. This role is a unique blend of technical execution, machine optimization, and creative collaboration. You will be responsible for preparing and cutting a custom collection of plate steel yard art, assisting with light fabrication/installation, and fully configuring a waterjet table for future sale.

Key Responsibilities
- File Optimization: Review, organize, scale, and nest our existing library of artwork DXF files for efficient yard art production in a manner that matches the destination of these pieces.
- CNC Plasma Operation: Assist with the setup/integration of our new CNC plasma cutter and execute all test cuts and final production runs.
- Equipment Calibration: Troubleshoot, configure, and calibrate our existing waterjet table to get it optimized, fully operational, and ready for testing and sale.
- Fabrication & Assembly: Assist with light metal fabrication, finishing, and the physical installation of the cut pieces.
Required Qualifications
- CNC Expertise: Proven experience operating CNC machinery, utilizing nesting software, and setting up plasma or waterjet tables.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Strong mechanical and software skills to calibrate and optimize industrial cutting equipment.
- Artistic Eye: Ability to understand spacing, scaling, and aesthetics to ensure the finished metal art looks clean, balanced, and visually appealing.
- Hands-on Skills: Proficiency with standard metal fabrication tools and safety practices.
Must be detail oriented, creative, innovative, should have a high standard of workmanship, good communication skills and ability to work well with others. We are looking for an individual who is easy to instruct yet takes initiative to complete tasks without needing to be reminded and derives pride and satisfaction from a job well done.

Pay: $22.00 per hour
