Operations Manager

The Janitorial Manager oversees the cleaning and maintenance operations of a facility, ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment. This role manages janitorial staff, coordinates schedules, enforces cleaning standards, and ensures compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise, train, and schedule janitorial staff.
• Develop and implement cleaning procedures and schedules for offices, restrooms, common areas, and specialized spaces.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Inspect facilities regularly to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and PPE.
• Address maintenance or cleaning issues promptly and effectively.
• Prepare reports on staff performance, cleaning activities, and supply usage.
• Promote a safe working environment and train staff on proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in janitorial management or facilities supervision.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and best practices.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Experience with audits and inspections
• Strong understanding of janitorial equipment -SOW’s, management, and cleaning practices.
• Walk-behind scrubber
• Ride-on scrubbers
• Carpet extractors
• Floor care
• Creating and implementing cleaning schedules and routes
• Experience creating effective people development plans
