The Janitorial Manager oversees the cleaning and maintenance operations of a facility, ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment. This role manages janitorial staff, coordinates schedules, enforces cleaning standards, and ensures compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, train, and schedule janitorial staff.
- Develop and implement cleaning procedures and schedules for offices, restrooms, common areas, and specialized spaces.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Inspect facilities regularly to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and PPE.
- Address maintenance or cleaning issues promptly and effectively.
- Prepare reports on staff performance, cleaning activities, and supply usage.
- Promote a safe working environment and train staff on proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in janitorial management or facilities supervision.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and best practices.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Experience with audits and inspections
- Strong understanding of janitorial equipment -SOW’s, management, and cleaning practices.

- Creating and implementing cleaning schedules and routes
- Experience creating effective people development plans
