Job Description: Oversee the overall operations of LADD and its programs, ensuring compliance with all contractual and legal requirements as mandated by the Missouri Department of Mental Health Division of Developmental Disabilities and the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field and one year of related work experience. A valid driver’s license and be willing to obtain a chauffeur license (class E). One year of working in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred. Must obtain CPR and First Aid training and Medication Administration Training within the first 90 days of employment. Sufficient knowledge of sound business practices, applicable labor laws, and generally accepted accounting principles is preferred. Tools of Choice Training, Crisis Prevention Institute Training, and Mandt Training are not required but highly recommended.
Primary Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Oversee recruitment and onboarding of new employees
- Supervision and management of all employees
- Conduct regular performance reviews for all employees
- Manage payroll including employee time off requests
- Arrange for repair and maintenance of office equipment, vehicles, and building
- Research and collect bids for supplies, furniture, and technology advancements
- Serve as a member of the direct care team as needed
- Provide transportation of consumers as needed
- Participate in the planning process for consumers including annual plan meetings and quarterly support monitoring
- Quality assurance review of service documentation and billing
- Research grant resources, fundraising ideas, as well as volunteer sites and activities that will enhance LADD’s participation
- Create a monthly calendar and newsletter for consumers highlighting scheduled activities
- Report to the LADD Board of Directors on all matters pertaining to the operation of LADD and its programs. This includes creating a director’s report and information packet at board meetings.
- Attend board meetings, take minutes of the meeting and prepare for review at the next meeting.
- Be responsible for all duties set forth by the bylaws or by the decisions of the LADD Board of Directors.
