What are the responsibilities and job description for the Work Study School of Hospitality position at Lackawanna College?

Purpose:
This is a part-time, on average 10 hours per week, position. As a work study, assistance will be provided within this designated department to college staff, and peers. With confidentiality in mind, information will be shared with the correct parties and will work as a member of the team to increase coverage of the office as well as support the department through work on day-to-day tasks as well as projects or initiatives.
Key Competencies:

- Maintain Confidentiality, as defined by Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
- 34 CFR Part 99
- Ability to work Independently
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and maintain office records and information.
- Attention to detail.

Primary Responsibilities:
- General administrative tasks such as:
- Filing and Organization
- Typing and Note Taking
- Answering Phones
- Taking Messages
- Preparing Mailing
- Supervising the front desk
- Preparing materials for events
- General FOH tasks such as:
- Setup and Breakdown of dining area
- Serve Food & Drinks to 409 Guests
- Greet and seat guests
Pay:
- $13.00 / hour
Hours:
- 10 hours per week between 8am and 11 pm. *Unless otherwise authorized*
- Off campus dates and times designated by your supervisor as needed.
- Subject to change without notice.
Education:
- Must be enrolled at Lackawanna College.
