ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND OBJECTIVES:
The Corporate Partnership Business Development Specialist is responsible for identifying, researching and securing college business partnerships. The goal of this position is to increase enrollment and revenue through these relationships. The candidate will also focus on increasing the college's student population that utilizes military education benefits. This position requires recruitment of new partners by identifying and assisting with the executions of partnership events and activities. A strong understanding of business and employee benefits that align with workforce needs is essential as well as the ability to identify, research and initiate contacts with high probability business prospect targets. The candidate will work closely with the department's student support and training managers to ensure synergy in program implementation, design and compliance. An understating of the college's admissions, financial aid and business department practices is also essential. The candidate will report to the Director of Continuing Education and be able to work independently and as part of a team. The position requires some travel.
KEY COMPETENCIES:
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Coursework in business, education, student development, and/or higher ed leadership are strongly preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of two (2) years’ relevant experience within higher education.
- Experience working with diverse populations and/or adult learners.
