Responsibilities
Business Partner:
- Success understanding business user and process requirements and identifying the appropriate IT solutions to meet user requirements across several criteria.
- Act as the bridge between business needs and vendor capabilities.
- Translate technical issues into business language for executives and business users.
- Provide visibility into IT risks, costs, and ROI.
- Act as the “quarterback” ensuring all players (vendors, finance, ops) are aligned.
- Ensure outsourced infrastructure and ERP providers deliver on SLAs.
- Assist in negotiated contracts, act as lead in monitoring performance, and escalate issues.
- Define how IT supports growth targets (acquisitions, new sites, service expansion).
- Prioritize investments in systems that drive efficiency and scalability.
- Keep tech aligned with PE sponsor’s value-creation plan.
- Ensure ERP and other systems produce reliable, timely data for management and investors.
- Assist in Standardized KPIs across business units.
- Oversee integrations between ERP, CRM, and financial systems.
- Own the company’s security posture even if execution is outsourced.
- Implement policies, compliance frameworks, and incident response plans.
- Educate leadership and staff on cyber hygiene.
- Help to Identify bottlenecks in workflows (e.g., order-to-cash, procurement).
- Drive adoption of ERP features and digital tools.
- Champion cultural change toward data-driven decision-making.
- Standardize IT playbooks for bolt-on acquisitions.
- Quickly integrate acquired companies into ERP and infrastructure.
- Ensure scalability without ballooning costs.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 8 years of progressive IT leadership experience, ideally in multi-entity or private equity-backed environments.
- Extensive NetSuite experience required.
- Proven success in IT integration during mergers and acquisitions.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices and compliance frameworks.
- Familiarity with DoD rules and regulations a plus.
- Exceptional project management and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and build structure from the ground up.
