Working closely with a system integrator, this consultant will oversee all phases of the program, from requirements gathering and system design to data migration, testing, training, and go-live stabilization, while driving alignment across business and technology teams.

This engagement requires an experienced ERP Project Manager to lead a highly visible initiative, ensuring the new platform becomes the backbone for future growth. Working closely with a system integrator, this consultant will oversee all phases of the program, from requirements gathering and system design to data migration, testing, training, and go-live stabilization, while driving alignment across business and technology teams.
Responsibilities
- Spearhead the end-to-end ERP implementation project, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and execution.
- Establish project scope, objectives, and success criteria; make sure delivery is on time, on budget, and within scope.
- Create and maintain project governance structure, including steering committee updates and executive reporting.
- Work hand in hand with cross-functional leaders (Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, IT, HR) to line up ERP capabilities with business needs.
- Operate as a liaison across functions, facilitating alignment, resolving conflicts, and leading timely decision-making.
- Oversee third-party vendors, consultants, and implementation partners to drive accountability and performance.
- Oversee major milestones: requirements gathering, system design/configuration, data migration and validation, system integration, and training.
- Capture and maintain accurate documentation of current- and future-state business processes, workflows, and system configurations.
- Create and manage risk/issue logs, change control processes, and mitigation strategies to keep the project on track.
- Collaborate with business leadership and HR to design and execute a change management and communication plan.
- Lead end-user readiness, training, and post-go-live support to drive adoption and minimize disruption.
- Conduct workshops, user acceptance testing (UAT), and business readiness reviews.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field (MBA or PMP certification preferred).
- 8–12 years of project management experience, with at least 4–6 years leading multiple Tier 1 ERP implementations (Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience preferred).
- Proven success managing multi-phase, multi-million-dollar projects.
- Prior experience working with system integrators and managing vendor relationships.
- A collaborative, hands-on leader who can move seamlessly between executive discussions and tactical execution.
- Skilled at negotiation, consensus building, and managing diverse stakeholders with diplomacy.
- Ability working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple competing priorities.
- A problem solver who thrives at the intersection of business transformation and technology enablement.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems and how they support Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, and HR.
- Ability to balance technical ERP knowledge with strong business process understanding.
- Superb communication, facilitation, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and third-party vendors.
- Expertise in project management methodologies (Agile/Waterfall/Hybrid).
- Excellent problem-solving, risk management, and decision-making capabilities.
