Location: Carrollton, TX
Position Summary:
Our client in the Carrollton, TX is looking for a Quality Control Technician is responsible for ensuring that all products meet established quality and safety standards. This includes inspection of raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods in compliance with cGMP and SQF guidelines. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in quality control, ideally within the food manufacturing industry.
Essential Functions:
- Inspect incoming raw materials and components for adherence to specifications.
- Perform in-process checks during production to identify and address quality issues.
- Conduct final inspections on finished goods for quality and safety compliance.
- Release quarantined products for shipment after all testing and checks are completed.
- Maintain accurate and thorough quality records and documentation.
- Assist in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions for non-conformances.
- Ensure timely calibration of equipment (e.g., scales, thermometers).
- Support internal audits and compliance checks with the Quality Manager.
- Collect product and environmental samples for microbiological testing and complete third-party lab documentation.
- Conduct ATP swabbing and environmental monitoring to ensure sanitation standards are met.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 years of quality control experience, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and general food safety principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus, but not required
Skills and Abilities:
- High proficiency in Microsoft applications (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read, write and speak in English.
- Must be able to respond to off hour emergencies.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work as part of a team.

Salary:
$22 /hr DOE
