Overview
We’re hiring an Assembly & Kitting Specialist to support a large, short term assembly and build project. In this role, you’ll assemble and kit metal industrial equipment carts, pack and palletize shipments, and accurately scan/enter item codes into a tracking system.
This is a hands-on, physically demanding position with a strong overlap to production, general assembly and kitting positions.
Nature of the Project
- 9-12 week contract
- Monday–Friday
- 8:00am–5:00pm
- $18/hour
- After the contract period, there may be opportunities to stay on full-time depending on business demand and performance.
Responsibilities
- Assemble carts and equipment kits following written build steps
- Pick, box, kit, label, and package materials for shipment
- Palletize completed orders and help maintain a steady output pace
- Test/check basic functionality using simple protocols (when required)
- Configure and pair handheld devices (basic settings, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi) as needed
- Scan/enter inventory codes accurately and resolve simple discrepancies
- Communicate status, questions, or issues promptly to the project lead
- Follow safety, quality, and cleanliness requirements
Qualifications
- Comfortable with repetitive, physical work (standing/walking throughout the shift)
- Able to lift 40 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally
- Detail-oriented enough to track item codes accurately in a system
- Basic comfort with handheld devices/tablets and simple troubleshooting (Bluetooth/Wi-Fi/settings)
- Reliable attendance and ability to work at a consistent pace
- High school diploma/GED preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Must be able to pass a background check and 10-panel drug screen before starting
