What are the responsibilities and job description for the Green Machinist position at LaborMax - Gilroy, CA?
Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints, tooling and set up instructions and standard charts for specifications
- Set up and run all facets of work assigned
- Spot check production parts using calipers and micrometers per blueprint specifications
- Monitor machine operations and report malfunctions to supervisor
- Monitor tool performance through in process quality checklists
- Ensure Company procedures and best machine practices are always followed and are in place
- Perform additional related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2-3 years of manual lathe, mill experience, and surface grinder. CNC experience is a plus
- Experience using shop tools such as and not limited to mics, depth, gages, calipers, indicators, etc
- Strong production and safety knowledge are a must
- Aptitude to work in a team environment with the ability to plan and achieve goals
- Analytical with strong problem solving abilites
