About the JobA full-service business law firm is seeking an experienced Nurse Paralegal to join its busy healthcare legal team. Duties and ResponsibilitiesReview and summarize medical records for attorneysCreate medical chronologies of a patient's medical events, procedures, and treatmentsApply nursing judgment and clinical knowledge to all types of medical casesConduct medical subject and expert witness researchProvide opinions on medical care and assist in developing case strategyOrganize electronic and physical files and support various litigation functionsMust be highly organized, able to juggle multiple deadlines and priorities, familiar with billing entry, and proficient in Microsoft Office/Word and Excel2–4 years of experience in a healthcare-focused practice group in a litigation firm is strongly preferredNursing experience in emergency room, medical-surgical, neuro, telemetry/cardiac, oncology, or surgery/ICU is requiredInsurance defense experience preferred A full-service business law firm comprised of 240 attorneys headquartered in Chicago.
