What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transportation Project Engineer position at LaBella Associates?
LaBella Associates is currently seeking a Transportation Project Engineer in our Buffalo, NY, office location. The successful candidate must be technically astute in transportation and/or highway engineering and have a proven background in the development of transportation and/or highway projects. This role will often perform as a project manager on some assignments or project engineer on larger size projects.
Duties.
- Performs technical discipline tasks including research, reports, design, specification and plan preparation to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects
- Assist Project Managers with business development activities, including meeting with clients
- Assist with preparing and coordinating proposal efforts to secure work
Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 per year
The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required
- 8-10 years of progressive transportation design experience
- PE is required
- Experience on NYSDOT, NYSTA, and Local Administered Federal Aid transportation projects
- Experience with Microstation / AutoCAD. Inroads experience a plus
- General knowledge of NYSDOT specifications and standards
- Strong oral and written communication skills and interpersonal relationships skills
