Assistant Store Manager

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
• Lead and motivate sales associates through effective coaching, training, and performance management.
• Manage inventory control, including stock replenishment, merchandising, pricing strategies, and loss prevention measures.
• Handle customer inquiries with professionalism and resolve issues promptly to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Support hiring processes by participating in interviewing, onboarding new employees, and conducting employee orientation sessions.
• Oversee cash handling procedures, POS transactions, and bookkeeping tasks accurately.

Skills

• Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles with supervising responsibilities.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively and foster a collaborative environment.
• Proficiency in inventory management systems, POS technology, and retail math for pricing and sales analysis.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced setting.
• Demonstrated expertise in employee training & development, recruiting, budgeting, and merchandising strategies.

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
