Duties
- Quickly and accurately relay orders from the kitchen to servers, ensuring timely delivery of food to guests
- Assist in food preparation and plating to meet presentation standards and quality expectations
- Expedite food items by coordinating with kitchen staff to prioritize orders based on timing and guest needs
- Deliver food orders efficiently to tables while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor
- Support kitchen operations by bussing tables, clearing dishes, and maintaining cleanliness in service areas
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to resolve any order discrepancies or delays promptly
- Ensure food safety standards are upheld during handling, storage, and transportation of dishes
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred
- Strong communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with kitchen staff and front-of-house team
- Knowledge of food preparation, expediting, and food handling procedures
- Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems for order management is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods during shifts
- Basic numeracy skills for order accuracy and inventory awareness
- Commitment to food safety standards and proper sanitation practices
- Experience in banquet service, hotel hospitality, or culinary roles is advantageous
