Job Summary: Medical Diagnostic Laboratories (MDL) is a CLIA certified clinical laboratory with multiple state licensing, specializing in state of the art, automated DNA based molecular analysis of a variety of chronic and infectious illnesses. MDL specializes and performs Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) with a larger menu of testing available in the field of infectious disease. Our main theme of research is in the field of Gynecology, Infectious Diseases, Infectious Arthritis, Tick-borne Diseases, Mycology, and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS). We are seeking a Full Time Administrative Assistant to support our laboratory department.

Essential Functions:
- Develop and compile electronic correspondence including letters, memos, reports, etc.
- Screen/handle incoming phone calls and route to appropriate party in the Lab dept.
- Maintain the departmental calendar
- Perform the scheduling needs of the VP of the Lab
- Organize and distribute incoming and outgoing mail
- Create and maintain necessary files
- Box and archive all Lab files as needed
- Maintain stock of all Lab office supplies (inventory, ordering, requests)
- Attend and take minutes for departmental meetings
- Update appropriate Standard Operating Procedures
- Perform approval of timesheets for payroll
- Assist in Accessioning, if needed
- Assist with receiving package drop offs, if needed
- Assist Lab Managers and/or VPs with projects or tasks as needed.
- Office environment
- The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- The employee is frequently required to stand and walk.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 5 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 lbs.
