Laan Thai is looking for an experienced Line Cook to join our kitchen team. We are seeking someone who is dependable, works well under pressure, and is committed to delivering high-quality food in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Responsibilities
* Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to Laan Thai recipes and standards.
* Work multiple kitchen stations, including wok, grill, fryer, sauté, prep, and plating.
* Prepare ingredients, sauces, and proteins for daily service.
* Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation on every order.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout each shift.
* Monitor food quality, freshness, and proper storage.
* Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
* Communicate effectively with the kitchen team to ensure timely service.
* Assist with inventory, stocking, receiving deliveries, opening, closing, and general kitchen cleaning.
* Support teammates and perform other kitchen duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* Previous wok stir-fry experience is required.
* Minimum 2 years of professional kitchen experience preferred.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant.
* Strong knife skills and knowledge of cooking techniques.
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
* Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
