What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Technician position at La Verne Animal Hospital?
We are a privately owned 3 doctor, small animal practice in the heart of downtown La Verne. We are looking for a licensed veterinary technician, ideally with at least 2-4 years of experience. We have both part time and full time positions. Full time positions will average 32-40 hours a week. Full time employee benefits include health insurance premiums fully covered, dental and vision insurance offered and 401k with match!
Schedule: We are open from Monday - Saturday and closed Sundays. Our hours are from 8 AM - 6:30 PM. All shifts will be 8 hours long.
Pay: $20 - $30 pending experience and licensing.
Ideal candidates:
Works well with other team members
Technical skills (proficient with blood draws, IV catheter placement, intubation, anesthesia monitoring, radiographs, dental cleanings)
Comfortable speaking with clients and answering calls
Animal handling experience
Available for Saturday shifts
Multitasking skills
Caring for hospitalized pets
Ability to lift and cary animals of at least 40 pounds
