The Kitchen Supervisor will work closely with the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, and Banquet Chef to provide quality service in all areas of food production for menu items and specials in the designated outlets and banquets in accordance with standards and plating guide specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Supervise and assist in all kitchens including Restaurant outlets and Banquet kitchens as directed.
- Oversee and assist with scheduling and training of the Cooks in the preparation of food that is of consistently high quality.
- Ensures that all cook’s duties have been performed during shift.
- Ensure Cooks follow recipe designs for all food preparation.
- Prepare and properly garnish all food orders in accordance with menu specifications, that results in high quality of taste and appearance to satisfy guests and maximize food revenues.
- Prepares food in a quick/timely manner for service and special functions, ensuring that all stations are set for forecast covers.
- Organizes the day’s prepping for the cooks and restaurants; supervises line set-up and prepping.
- Conducts follow-up to ensure prepping has been done for each shift and/or next day.
- Establishes kitchen check lists and ensures that they are completed efficiently.
- Rotate food stock/inventory in keeping with industry standards and practices.
- Prepares and/or participates in the food inventory and ordering process.
- Work with other F&B managers and keep them informed of F&B issues as they arise.
- Keep Banquet chef and Executive Chef fully informed of all matters requiring their attention.
- Monitor quality of all food products and presentation.
- Oversee all aspects of the daily Kitchen and food production areas.
- Design and implement employee cafeteria rotating menu and oversee cafeteria operations.
- Assist in proper training and direction of departmental assistance in compliance with company standards of quality, specifications, portion control, recipes, employee relations, sanitation, and other.
- Assess food portion size, visual appeal, taste, and temperature of items served.
- Assist in the direction and training appeal of all chefs to ensure adequate operation in all outlets.
- Oversee daily activities such as preparation for all food items including banquets, sanitation of the outlets, receiving daily.
- All other tasks deemed necessary by management.
JOB TYPE: Full Time
PAY RATE: $24.00 per hour

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. English fluency required. Must have a minimum of two or more years of experience in the kitchen area. Must be familiar with food handling safety protocols. Familiar with local Department of Health regulations, and relevant current laws governing handling hazardous substances. Must been able to obtain a valid Food Handlers Certificate.
